MOVED: Managing macOS Updates
When Apple comes out with a new OS update, there are a few different things that need to happen to ensure that users are given enough notice to update before we approach the requirement in our client MSAs of applying updates within 14 days of availability.
1. Update IT computers ASAP to ensure that update completes properly and if there are issues with updates to come up with a plan on how to address the issues.
2. After 24 hours since Apple released the update, push out update in Jamf with a deadline 2 weeks from update release date with time due at 4PM.
It's important to wait 24 hours because we hold back any updates from running on users' devices until 24 hours have past.

3. Unscope the Nudge configuration profile (not policy) from users in Jamf with the exception of the Nudge Test Group, and then update Nudge configuration profile to show the correct requirements.

4. Update Safari automatic update policy/policies.

5. After 7 days have past since update release from Apple, scope the Nudge configuration profile to all supported operating systems (typically the current OS and the last two major OS versions) via their named computer groups (example: macOS Ventura, macOS Monterey, and macOS Big Sur) and wait for updates to complete.
