Accessing Shared Documents or Folders as a Guest
When shared a document or folder via SharePoint/Teams, you don't need a Microsoft account to be able to view or edit the documents. The following steps show how to access those documents or folders.
1. Once a document or folder is shared with you, you will receive an email with a link like the one shown below. Click Open. Alternatively, you might be shared a link from a Gravity Global employee directly. If this is the case, click the link to open it in your browser.
2. Your browser will open to a page that requires you to enter your email. Enter the email address the email was sent to in the previous step and then click Next. Alternatively, depending on how the file was shared, you may be asked to click Next.
3. A code will be sent to your email address, enter the code in the email in the browser window to verify your identity and click Sign In.
4. If this is your first time using a shared link from Gravity Global, you will have to click accept in the permissions request. This creates you as a guest in Gravity Global.
After clicking Accept, you will not be asked again in the future to accept permissions.
5. You should now have access to the document or folder that was shared with you!
